JLC Initiatives

  • KIDS IN THE KITCHEN  - The Junior Leagues’ Kids in the Kitchen program, a childhood obesity and nutrition initiative from the Association of Junior Leagues International, is designed to help our communities address the urgent issues surrounding childhood obesity and poor nutrition.
  • LITTLE BLACK DRESS INITIATIVE AND DIAPER DRIVE - One week each year, members of the Junior League of Columbus commit to wearing the same black dress with a button that reads "Ask Me About My Dress!"  During this week, members will work to raise awareness of issues of poverty in our community and highlight diaper need.  The JLC will collect diapers for distribution to our community partners and individuals in need.
  • PROJECT PROM - an annual event that provides prom dresses to local junior and senior high school girls. Project Prom promotes self-confidence and individual beauty by providing free prom dresses and accessories to high school girls who cannot otherwise afford them.
  • COOKBOOK - "Pull up a Chair" is the Newest Cookbook from the Junior League of Columbus. This book is packed with scrumptuous recipies that will surely please the taste buds.
