The Anne Elizabeth Shepard Home garden was established by members of the Junior League of Columbus to provide the residents of the AESH with fresh vegetables and a quiet place to spend time alone or with visitors. The garden is a 40’x40’ enclosed herb and vegetable garden with seven raised beds, a deer fence, and an irrigation system. The garden also has a large sitting area with perennials and ornamental shrubs. JLC members plan, coordinate, and purchase plants for the garden in the fall and spring and schedule work days to plant the garden with the girls at AESH. Members also work with the director at AESH to make sure the garden is well maintained.
