Does my sponsor need to be a member of the Junior League of Columbus or can they be members of any Junior League?
Sponsors for the Junior League of Columbus will need to be current Active or Sustainer members of the Junior League of Columbus.

When you say that my sponsor needs to be “Active,” what does that mean?
An “Active” member is one who is currently in good standing and volunteering their time and talents within the Junior League of Columbus. A “Sustaining” member is one who has given at least seven years of active service in good standing. Please note, a member who is currently in their Provisional year or who is on Probation is not eligible to sponsor members.

I am new to the area and I don’t know anyone that is a member of the Junior League of Columbus. How do I find a sponsor?
Our best advice is to ask around at your new workplace, new place of worship, new gym, alumni networking groups, etc. You can also check out social media. Like the FACEBOOK page, follow us on TWITTER and check out our INSTAGRAM FEED. If you are still unable to find any sponsors, you may still move forward with submitting the Prospective Member Application and check the box to be matched with a sponsor. We will then match you with a sponsor from our Sponsor Pool. You will receive email confirmation once we have matched you with a sponsor.

What is the age criteria for membership into the Junior League of Columbus?
In order to join the Provisional Class you must be at least 22 years of age by April 30 of the league year in which you are completing your provisional program. The JLC League year runs from June 1 – May 31.

I was an Active member of another League and have recently moved to Columbus, do I need to restart my Provisional year in order to become a member of the Junior League of Columbus?
In most cases if you have completed your Provisional year at another Junior League you can transfer your membership. We suggest visiting the transfer section of our Members Only site or email jlcga1@charter.net.

In order to transfer your membership, you must contact your current League and ask them to transfer your membership to the Junior League of Columbus via the AJLI (Association of Junior Leagues International) e-Transfer system.

Please provide them with the following information:
• Name, local area address and phone number
• Email address
• AJLI number
• Your current status (i.e. Active, Provisional, Sustainer)

What are the typical annual dues for the Junior League of Columbus?
2024-2025 Provisional Fees:
$255 Annual Membership; $45 One-Time Provisional Fee; plus, $25 non-refundable application fee.
As an Active member, the dues are currently $255 annually due by April 15th each year.
