Letter from the President

Dear Members of the Junior League of Columbus,

I first would like to thank you for your involvement in the Junior League of Columbus and your unwavering commitment to our community. Without your participation and volunteer spirit, our programs such as housing the only nationally registered Diaper Bank in a 90-mile radius, sponsoring Christmas gifts annually for children at Wynnton Elementary School, and outreach programs such as Kids in the Kitchen and Project Prom would not be possible. As someone born and raised in Columbus, Georgia, I would like to personally thank you for making our community better.

I look forward to working with all of you and the amazing 2023-2024 Junior League of Columbus Board and Committee Chairwomen this year. Last League year, we enjoyed expanding our community outreach projects such as through a Cemetery Clean Up at the historic Pierce Chapel African Cemetery and returning to the Twin Cedars Anne Elizabeth Shepherd home for a Night of Service where we brought pizza, donated new bedding for residents, played games, and spent time with the girls there in place of our February General Membership Meeting. I hope to expand these and many other service opportunities you may be interested in this year! If you have an idea or a program you would like to see our League volunteer with that supports our Healthy Child Initiative, please drop me a line and I will see how we can get involved! This year, I encourage all of you to engage with our programs and with our community and to try new volunteer experiences and Junior League events you have not yet experienced. I promise your engagement in any of our programs will be rewarding! My goal for this League year is that we activate, inspire, and engage in this community.

It is an honor to serve Columbus and to serve you. Thank you all for your service, professionalism, and dedication to our League.

Yours in Service,
Megan B. Kelley
79 th President of the Junior League of Columbus
