The Junior Leagues’ Kids in the Kitchen program is a childhood obesity and nutrition initiative from the Association of Junior Leagues International. This program is designed to help communities address urgent issues for childhood obesity and poor nutrition. The Junior League of Columbus has previously partnered with Anne Elizabeth Shepard Home to provide six weeks of cooking classes. Participants learned a variety of healthy recipes, as well as learning about food safety and nutrition. The response was overwhelming, as participants were so eager to learn and thankful for the knowledge they gained.
