Project Prom

For the 10th year, the Junior League of Columbus will host Project Prom, an annual event that gives away free prom dresses to local junior and senior high school girls. We will offer new and gently used prom dresses and accessories at no cost.

In addition to receiving the dress of their dreams, participants and their guests will also attend a workshop called “Be Smart, Guard Your Heart” provided by Right from the Start, a division of the Pastoral Institute. “Be Smart, Guard Your Heart” provides healthy relationship skills for young adults.  This relationship class seeks to educate and equip young adults with the skills they need to avoid the emotional, social and physical pitfalls that can happen in an unhealthy relationship. Right from the Start will teach a condensed version of their “Be Smart” program. Those who come to the event will be required to go through the training before they select a dress.

Students are asked to bring a valid school ID. The event is first come, first served and lines form early.

Project Prom 2020 will be from 10:30 am-1:30 pm, Saturday, March 21, at the Main Branch of the Columbus Public Library on Macon Rd.

If you want to donate funds to the event, you can do so here.

Project Prom 2020 t-shirts are also on sale for $18. Pre-order yours here and pick it up the day of the event.
